In biomanufacturing, clarification is the process of removing cells and cellular debris from the liquid contents of a bioreactor. Centrifugation is a popular choice in the biomanufacturing industry for use in primary clarification. Turbidity sampling is often used in biomanufacturing as a tool to measure the efficiency of a clarification process. Performance of the UFMini single-use centrifuge was evaluated for the clarification of CHO-S cells as measured by supernatant turbidity and cell viability.
