Low-Shear Performance
The Viafuge Pilot’s unique design minimizes shear forces on cells, boasting a typical cell viability of 98% or higher and up to 98% yield.
Scalability
Processes developed on the Viafuge Pilot can be seamlessly scaled to the Viafuge V12.
Features
  • Bowl capacity: 1.4L
  • Flow rates up to 240 L/hr for batches up to 500 L
  • Variable speeds up to 10,000 x g
  • SIP optional
  • cGMP construction
  • ASME-rated designs available
  • Low-shear design
  • Flexible optimization
  • Optional Hazardous Duty (Class 1, Div 1, Group C and D)  and CE configurations are available
  • State-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in the United States
How It Works
Cells are concentrated at the bowl wall while clarified supernatant is continuously discharged throughout the separation process. Once the bowl fills with cell concentrate, a simple manifold system and concentrate pump is used to recover the cells without breaking containment. Subsequent cycles are performed for recovery of larger batch sizes
